BassAddict32 Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 okay, so which is better? cone area or wattage? let's say i get 6 15"s that handle 1500W a piece. 1500 X 6 = 9000W 3.14 X (7.5 X 7.5) = 176.62 X 6 = 1059.72 IN of cone area. now also let's say that i put ohh......6K watts to those 6 15"s now, on the other hand, let's say i could put 2 18"s that handle 5000W a peice. 5000 X 2 = 10,000W 3.14 X (9 X 9) = 254.47 X 2 = 508.94 IN of cone area now put 9K watts to the 2 18"s. would the cone area still over rule the wattage? and don't get into the whole box thing. i know a big part of it is the box. Team_DC-Derrick Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 yeah man, you might be in over your head alittle bit, your first build, start out pretty decent then go from there, untill you sat in a really loud vehicle... you wont know what your getting into... you could give your self a heart attack the first time you turn on your subs if you do 6 15s LOL Quote The DC Integra 3 18s to 6 15 build log Team_DC-Derrick's Youtube Team DC Audio where theres a will theres a wall.......
