I can't help but notice in this pic the port sides that are along the back wall, the right one is screwed to the end of the main port piece and the left one is screwed to the side of the main port piece.. It looks like they are the same size and that would throw the left one at 3/4" longer than the right one which it looks like. I would measure those dimensions again.. It may be an illusion and you mightve cut that one 3/4 less, its just something I noticed.. Also the port width along the back wall needs to be half of the main port width.. Unless there is some science going on here that I dont know about then by all means please disregard.. The last piece on the right that is the port, I cut to short so I screwed the second piece to the back instead of on to the side. It evened out so both sides are the same depth. you are right that one side is longer horizontaly than the other. the longer side on the left isnt glued, I just screwd it in to make sure it matches the height as all of the other pieces. I wasnt aware that it needed to be half of the port, that is honestly the first time i have heard that lol. my previous boxes have given me good results with this way, so I didnt change it you know. so far it is looking promising. if I need to I can crawl into the box and shrink the rear of the port lol. thank you very much for the info. instead of just keeping it to your self MY TRUCK BUILD - 1976 F-100 Ranger. ugpbmx Posted January 15, 2011 Author Report Posted January 15, 2011 today was a test fit to make sure everything fit. all went well. after N8 had advised that i do a second layer, I was worried about flexxing, but all seems to be good. I will see for sure when i get the other 2 15's. I have plenty of room to get inside and do a second baffle if need be. over all i am very pleased with how this came out.
