Slinky
thats alright, yeah, just wire it straight to the front batt. plus to plus, negative to negative. a lot of guys will tell you to get an isolator but i dont and havent had one for ever and ive never had probs. sean 371
Yea, an isolator is only necessary if you listen to your system with the car off. And, you can run the wires to the extra batteries straight to your alternator if you want. shooter69
1/0 wire, correct? and what all will the Big 3 do for me? whats the point? Quote (1)Fi BTL 15 (1)AQ 2200d 4.33 Cubes~33hz Big Three done XS 1200 in the back
sean 371
It allows more power to flow...Basically, power goes from your alternator, to your battery, to your amp, to the ground, and back to the battery. Now, we all know running bigger wire allows more power to the amp, but without upgrading the other wires, it's an incomplete upgrade of that circuit. Upgrading it will allow power to flow more freely. All in all a good thing haha Quote A couple links to some box builds: Tahoe Box 1, Tahoe Box 2, Nissan Titan, VW GTI, Mini-Bump, Hummer H2, Ford F-150 My own car builds (current setup --- under construction): Overall Thread, Kickpods, Dash, Back Doors Subwoofer Wall
shooter69
haha, no doubt. sounds like a nice add-on. easy to do? Quote (1)Fi BTL 15 (1)AQ 2200d 4.33 Cubes~33hz Big Three done XS 1200 in the back
sean 371
Very easy. All you need is 10-15 feet of wire and a few ring terminals. 1) Pos Alt to Pos Bat 2) Neg Bat To Ground 3) Alternator/Engine to Ground No more voltage drops! And to help with lights dimming, you can upgrade the wiring going to the fuse box as well...that should take care of it.
