SQMonte
ok that is what i was thinking was going on thank again for the help have you used those resetable circuit breaker?if so are they any good or do they wear out over time I'd imagine they could wear out over time but to be honest with you bro, I think i've had to replace the main power lead fuse only once in any vehicle i've ever owned since I started putting systems in 17yrs ago. And even then, the fuse didn't blow, but it was warped somehow. So I wouldn't worry too much about the circuit breaker wearing out. If your breaker trips so much to where it wears out, I highly suggest you don't do anymore installs. Boon
2/0 is not 2 gauge. 2/0 is double-zero gauge, it's usually around 63mm^2 to 70mm^2 compared to 50mm^2 for 0 gauge. I would use a 300A fuse personally. A 300A ANL fuse takes about 600A to pop in less than 5 seconds and there's no way you'll be generating more than that without a fault somewhere. kingsuv
Do not use the resetting circuit breakers. I have seen more then a few lately get stuck close with a fault. Seams that even ones in clean dry locations can get gunked up with shit and it keeps them from tripping. Use a proper size fuse. You will never have to replace it if everything is installed correctly. Quote Designing, building, and shipping boxes. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
