eckorog2005 Posted July 23, 2009 Author Report Posted July 23, 2009 ok, im lost now, but its due to my fault. ill restate whats going on with more detail. i have 2 13w7 so far and i have one 1000/1vs amp as of now. i was going to order another 1000/1v2 but i saw on the amp that i can hook two subs to it even though it is a mono. so now i understand is that doing that would not give it the full rms to each sub (which i was thinking i would need two amps).
EL Douche Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 ok thanks, but y do people always do an amp for each sub then? Not always.... you have to match amp RMS output to what the sub can handle RMS Two subs that need 1000watt RMS each (Yours) would need two amps with 1000watt RMS each as well

For full power YES you would need another amp.... with just your one amp you could push the both, but only at half power
Basshead08 Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 Ok I was misuderstanding to. I'm not real familiar with JL(little rich fr my blood). Yea to push you subs at full rms you would need another 1000/1. How much you paying for all that jl stuff? System tear out has begun...Out with the old i have a iq of 128 i graduated at the top of my class tell me how im reatrded you are the 1 thats dumb as hell you can't even spell Look at the underlined text hahahahahahahaha I think of it as the virgin losing the virginity technique not just jumping in to it, and pounding away, but going at it slowly over time, to get to that full extreme
eckorog2005 Posted July 23, 2009 Author Report Posted July 23, 2009 im getting them for cheap, like 400 an amp, 450 a sub. if it was full price i wouldn't have them, lol.
eckorog2005 Posted July 23, 2009 Author Report Posted July 23, 2009 well thanks for all the replies and help on this topic
Boon Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 You can hook 2000 subs up to 1 amp with 1 set of outputs.... But yes, 1 1000/1 to a 13W7 is a good power match. 10.x volts fo' life!
