I think you have to find ur static IP address then put that into ur interent tool bar and that will bring up ur router tools.

I used to have a Linksys router.

Let me ask you this, when you go to 192.168.1.1 doesn't it ask you for a username and password?. Cause if I remember right it should. You created the username and password back when you originally installed your router to your PC. After you input your username and password it should take you to another page which allows you to configure your router. What exactly are you trying to do?. What is torrent software?.

when i got into the 192.168.1.1 thing thats when i get confused..

Hey Wazabi, I made mention of this in your other topic on your network acting up. If you goto the linksys webpage, then goto support, and find your model wireless router, then click on your firmware revision and it will allow you to open up a manual for your router in a pdf format.

coolwazabi, i don't recommend you open your ports manually. you may be opening certain back doors to your computer. you don't want that. what you CAN do, however, is enable UpnP on your router. This will allow ports to be temporarily opened by software for use and then they will be CLOSED after use.
