car audio is just a LOT more complicated than "this amp does this power" or "this sub will be this loud". its like 2 + 2 = banana. (if that confuses you then you get the point) lol

What kind of truck do you have? That must be a deep bed because 18 's won't fit in mine like that. Even 15's present a prob because my bed is only 17.75 deep and if I go with 15's I won't be able to double baffle the top and bottom of the box.

18's can work...I've got 2 level 5 18's in my F-250 and my bed is also 17 3/4" :spiteful: You must get creative with your box design. :D

Yes, they are slanted...that is how you get creative and fit 18's in a 17" tall box. I have two boxes a ported and a 4th order bandpass.

so would u mind if i use your idea on slanting them? also what way should they slant, face down or up?

No you can't use her design......... It's patented :D

We did slant down to better match the opening of the cut. After doing it for the BP design it was mentioned to me that the subs shouldn't face the port opening. So on the ported we faced towards the opening to help push through the hole. On the BP I haven't tried it the other way......yet ;)

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)

the one thing is that idk if the aero ports will clear... what degree angle did u use or did u just through it together to just clear the magnets?

also what do u have the DCs box tuned to, i hurd the backs around 30Hz but didnt hear anything on the port in to the cab
