BigPimpin91
i think that last note is right at 28hz and bigpimpins aq subs are tuned at like 35hz but, his subs can play 'i love your girl' c&s at 23hz. Pretty much this. I was truly surprised how well they hung in with that song. I was shyed away by that 38hz recommended tuning but DD/AQ have it right. The spider and coil characteristics allow the woofer to extend low while still being in control. As stated I'm tuned @ 35hz but I'm actually peaking @ 33hz. :hairtrick: Quote BigPimpin91's Banging Music
Boon
DD 95's will play well below tuning. My daily box which is tuned somewhere around 40 will drop to 29hz with some serious authority. Just be careful about excursion. If you want to play below tuning then make sure you have a small box. If you unload them the cone will slam into the spider landing and smash the neck joint. 3 cubes is way too big for a 12" 9512 on 2.5kw. On Put On it will just unload. I run a 9515 in a touch over 3 cubes on 4kw and that last note still challenges it. Quote 10.x volts fo' life!

siucsaluki11
^^^sorry if this is off topic but.. Why is it certain subs like DD need so much port and others need less? How do you determine these things? I know DD says make sure to give it a massive port. Does that apply to AQs HDC3 series? I know the AQs are supposed to be close to one of the DD lines, i just cant remember which one.
