Torres
i wouldnt wanna drop below 12 volts in any setup. dropping to a lower impedance increases current draw, so you usually gotta be more careful when doing that
Forevrbumpn
anything below 1ohm just becomes a warranty issue I believe Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. doug118
I know the warrenty would be void, just curious as to how long it would last with daily music about 12.5 volts at .5 ohms or lower Quote 2001 Tahoe. EricR
They'll do that all day long. I'm currently running my saz-3500d @ 0.4dcr daily no sweat. I ran my saz-1500s daily @ 0.35dcr for months with no issues. Just feed it the juice it needs and you'll be plenty happy. nice. just remember it takes power to make power lowering the ohm load makes more power therefor you need moar power to feed the extra power being made common sense Quote i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work? Derrick824
I'll also add that my brother has ran three d2 Btl 18s wired all parallel to a 0.33ohm nominal load (that's 0.25dcr) on a single saz-3000d and played music on it daily just fine. He only did it to get into a lower power class in local comps. That single saz-3000d @ 0.33 powered those three 18s good enough to still do a 150db & change on a burp even after demoing music all day long. doug118
damn thats a good score from 3 subs and 1 amp I travel quite often and just wanted to see if they would be okay with playing for hours at a time at half an ohm Quote 2001 Tahoe.
