Maybe gettin a wall built

I have a 07 Suzuki forenza with a 15 fi bl runnin of a sundown saz 1500d. It hits ok in my car but I took it out and put it in my friends eclipse and there was atleast a 5db increase. I wish I had a hatchback or a suv but I'm gone be pretty much stuck with this car for awhile. So I was wondering is it worth building a wall? If I do it will have 2 fi bl 15s. I will never be able to get as loud as I want out a trunk and want a wall anyway. So will it be worth building? I have room for 2 15s in my trunk but if there will be a BIG difference with a wall I would like to go that route

The main difference to me with a wall is the fact that you gain so much more air space, you can really give subs room to breath, obviously there are disadvantages though as well, no more back seat, no more rear view mirror, extreme addition of weight, you need to plan it out right, gotta get some new suspension components as well as secure that wall to the rear of the vehicle so it doesn't crush you in an accident....

say you had your same setup in a suv or hatchback non walled do you think it would be louder then or walled?

If you can spair the extra space, not having back seats, rear view, additional weight. Its definatly worth it, but if your iffy on it i wouldnt, u can still get good sound out of a trunk just takes lots of testing. have u tried sealing everything ?

The reason the eclipse was louder cause its a hatchback! Im all for walls but maybe work on the current setup the best you can and see what happens. SUV vs hatchback the hatch is almost always gonna be louder with same setup.

walls have a potential to be at least 5 db louder than the same system non-walled.

I say Wall it.

I am walling up a couple cars at the moment and want to do more for customers.

i was thinking about firing both subs into the cabin with the box sealed from the trunk but i dont wanna waste money doin it if im not sure ill be satisfied. i got my fi bl firing toward the back of the trunk now and when i turn it around firing into the cabin its SOO much quiter and dont hit good at all so im kinda afraid to waste my time sealing it.

What do you think abt 2 fi bls firing into the cabin sealed from the trunk vs 2 firing towards the back of the trunk?

im running one now firing backwards and i turned it firing into the cabin and it was ALOT quiter. i used pillows to fill the gaps to get a idea of it sealed..lmao..but i know that wasnt a good thing to go off of.
