BHSskaterBHS
My old sealed box use to hit lows super good. After building a slightly bigger ported box it seems to hit highs more than lows.. Seems like i have to set all the gains to higher hertz to get loud now... idk.. Quote 2002 FORD EXPLORER PACKED WITH SOME CHEAP SUBWOOFERS! CaptainzPlanetz
x2 but also how big is the box had the same problem with my mtx squares Ya what is it tuned too, also it may be theat the Fs of the subs is pretty low and that is why they where louder lower in the sealed enclosure. BHSskaterBHS
Read the sub box last night and realized they are ment for sealed enclosures.... Wowzer.... Could i just get a piece of MDF to seal up the port or does it need to be taken out? Quote 2002 FORD EXPLORER PACKED WITH SOME CHEAP SUBWOOFERS! Fish Chris
Sealing the port off, will do the same thing as removing it.... However, now your enclosure will be too big..... unless you put something inside to take up the additional space. But the best thing, would be to go back to your original sealed box. You do still have it.... right ? Peace, Fish Read the sub box last night and realized they are ment for sealed enclosures.... Wowzer.... Beanz
well one big thing is what frequency is your box tuned at? Quote That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do. BHSskaterBHS
Notice how i avoided the question of what its tuned to. That is because i don't know... -.-. And i never rebuilt the box i just added an other outside layer of MDF and ported it because the box was huge in the first place... I guess im just gonna seal it up and call it a day.
