VistaV6
Ok so, this is going to be a top firing box in my trunk for 2 12" DC level 3's...I can use 11" height, 36" wide and 20" deep. I need 3 cu ft for the 12's...So 10" high, 36" wide, 20" deep...with port 1 - 1" and port 2 1"....The RE calc is how I got the numbers..I know its not perfect but it says the tuning would be right around 33hz.... The port just seems wrong to me....so if anyone could check me, or help me out I would be most grateful Quote SUCCESS is a decision, NOT a dream. kirill007
you should better do a 4 inch port, instead of a 1 inch port, less port noise, and it would be louder too. Recalculate the lenght because it will need to be longer. Quote Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
VistaV6
When I enter 4 inches for the port the tuning flies up to like 55hz. Quote SUCCESS is a decision, NOT a dream. VistaV6
IDK if this would affect anything, but how I did it on RE to make it look right anyway was enter: Width 40", Height 20", Depth 10", then the ports......It just made it look right on the 3d model. (I reversed the height and depth) Quote SUCCESS is a decision, NOT a dream. You have to name the price you are willing to pay to get it. "You didn't have an ice pick on you? Amateur. brewer_brewer
change the length and the tuning will change with it. VistaV6
change the length and the tuning will change with it. Changing the length of the second port piece barely makes a difference and ganks my cubic space Quote SUCCESS is a decision, NOT a dream. You have to name the price you are willing to pay to get it. siucsaluki11
more port area means longer port. Longer port means more displacement. Which means you need a bigger box to make it all work.
