1992Chevy K1500
I have a laptop that I want to make my carputer. I need a USB to RCA video adapter, but can't seem to find one. I did find one on another site, but when I clicked the link, I found that it had been discontinued and is no longer available (it was on Newegg.com, BTW). Can anyone recommend a good adapter? I also have a VGA output (I think it's VGA). 1992Chevy K1500
I'm trying to use my laptop computer as my carputer. I just need a USB to RCA video adapter so I can use my HU as a screen. I plan on later putting in a monitor in the center console, but for now, I don't have the money. I know what I'm looking for exists because my school has one. The only problem is, it outputs a crappy video signal, so I don't plan on using it. http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-VGA-TO-S-VIDEO-RCA...id=p3286.c0.m14 Or that will work. Do you have any idea of the picture quality? thehoe92
I see now reading > me I thought you were trying to get an audio signal out of the usb to an RCA. you are going to be limited by the video RCA though pretty bad quality. video RCA < s-video < VGA < XVGA < DVI < and I think HDMI tops them all video RCA is for SD tv's but I don't think it should be that bad on a 6-7" head unit screen. how many pixels on your headunit? I'm not sure if my HU has s-video inputs, but I know it has RCAs. The resolution according to the manual, "336,960 sub pixels, 1440 (W) X 234 (H)". I had to look to be sure it was VGA because I've only used it once.
