Something smaller is in it now but at least I got beats. Have a new battery setup with new buss bars and a big ass box. Im not posting about that till its up and running.

A single 15 in 4.5 cubes on 600 watts will have to due for the time being.

I know you love your HobbyWerks box Nick. That beast is treating you good.

  • 2 months later...

Been a while since I updated the build. Have changed a few things in the back of the truck since I last updated. I still have things to do but I now have my daily beater doing its thing.

The next thing to get installed was the alts. I bought a triple alt kit and 2 270XP alts power coated matte black from DC Power and Engineering. Robbie hooked me up with some crazy powerful alts. Thanks to a lot of help from May03lt I got the setup installed. Had to move the PCM forward to give the bottom XP the clearance it needed. I also ran a 2/0 and 3/0 run of power cable to the back for each Alternator. Added 3 - 3/0 grounds from the rear bank to the frame and grounds from the front frame to the engine ground.

Did a lot more work to the back. I wanted to be able to access the buss bars easily so I could make changes a lot easier. I also built a new base to accommodate the new setup.

Went from this

To this, which is working out very well so far.

how does tat polk 5 channel perform bro thinkin about geting one by the way good shyt wit ur system dem alternators look nasty as hell :drink40:

Thats a 4 channel in there. Worked very nicely while it was in the truck. I wouldnt hesitate to run any Polk gear. Only reason it isnt in there now is that I got a great deal from a team mate for 2 Rockford 600.2's. I love all the Polk gear thats in the truck now. I plan on adding 2 pair of the 6.5 MM comp sets to the doors.

Since I was changing stuff I decided to change everything. Needed some materials to get started. Well thats actually wood for Mileswimmer and My box laying there. I had to buy 2 additional sheets to complete the boxes.

Imageshack is giving me problems this morning.
