Gotz1lung Posted August 21, 2009 Report Posted August 21, 2009 I tend to get ahead of myself, but i like planning out all the details.. I will be crossing to the "Dark Side" and purchasing 4) DC Lvl3 15s and hope to place my order on/around the 2nd. I will be using my 2 Crunch PZI1500.1s for power and want to get the most output with the most reliable setup.Im the kinda guy who will play test tones at red lights on the Reg to shut up those distortion pumpers in the cars around me if need be so it has to be able to be reliable for me most of all. Doodles so far have me with a wall set up in the Xcab, because i wont cut the bed/cab.I have 43x62x22 max space to work with and this would be the inner box, all thickness added around the outsides. Subs 2/side, with port in the middle. Just want to know more experienced builders opinions on if my plans are best suited for what i plan with it.. 93 Chevy Silverado Crossfire,Dayton Soon to have 6 Lvl4 15s DC Audio Dealer and Team Member

1992Chevy K1500 Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 You should know that those Crunches only do 750W RMS x 1 @ 1-ohm each. So your pushing 1500W for the 2 of them. EDIT: IOW, each sub will be seeing 375W RMS. My comp setup (Not bad for what it is): HP Compaq Presario V6120US laptop with: 15.4" widescreen AMD Turion 64 X2 1.6GHz processor 2x1GB stick DDR2 SDRAM (667 Mhz) Seagate Momentus 500GB SATA HDD 128MB shared video memory Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit 12 cell Lithium Ion battery (actual battery usage time: 6 hours) What it does: On a USB 2.0 Wireless card

EDIT: IOW, each sub will be seeing 375W RMS. hmmmm not good Yes i am aware. Thanks for the heads up tho... When i asked for my price quote, i informed Rusty of what would be used, he researched what i have and made a recommendation. Originally, i was looking at the Lvl 2 subs, but i figure Rusty knows better about his woofas than I.. you gonna put the amps under the box? or on the back of the seats or something the amps will get mounted in a false floor, or similar styled rack as i have now in front of the box, with my short legs and long arms, my seating position gives a lot of room in a nice wedge shape. i would do this12.648cubes net (3.16/sub) 161.5sq" of port area, tuned to 32ish Thanks alot!. I have sketchup but cant use it..lol 93 Chevy Silverado Crossfire,Dayton Soon to have 6 Lvl4 15s DC Audio Dealer and Team Member
