Can you see whats holding it on from the trunk? Like some little teethed strips of plastic that lock it down?

SUCCESS is a decision, NOT a dream. You have to name the price you are willing to pay to get it.

I'm not experienced with that car but I googled it and my only quick find was:

How do you remove the speakers from a 1989 mercedes benz 190E 2.6L?

In: Mercedes-Benz 190-Series [Edit categories]

Car Speaker Systems

Once you unscrew the covers, pull straight out. they are held by a clip that expands to the housing.

Hidden screws? I could not find any repair manuals or pics, hope you get them off ;)

most likely if the grill does not pop off then u will have to remove the rear deck which u will start with taking the back seat out then the sail panels then the rear deck itself. Cant remember exactly its been awhile since i have worked on one of those.

in this order carefully pry up on edges of speaker grill then pull up on speaker to release clips remove wires once out then connect wires to amp/radio or existing wiring and then install new speakers then reinstall factory grill factory speakers list as a 5.25in and you may have to drill new holes to screw in the new speaker have fun
