Gain settings for AQ2200d

what should i set my gains and lpf on my 2200? Its pushing one hdc 15.

Do what Decaf said, waaay easier, forgot it had a clipping light.

use the gain knob that came with the amp, turn it to 3/4 full turn

turn up a very common song u play alot and know well, a song that sounds as loud as most other songs

go back to the amp, and turn up the gain until u see the clipping light on the gain knob just barely flicker

done... if u see it stay solid red and blink a shit ton, just turn the knob down till its barely blinking

very very easy to do... no dmm needed, no calculations

so u dont need that thread the above member posted

Dj talked me through this the same way Decaf stated it. the only other thing you should do is make sure you use an actual cd not an ipod when setting the amp.

unless you play from the ipod primarily (like me). i tuned to a cd, played from my ipod and the signal got boosted somethin fierce and i broke some things. just fyi. now i tune from my ipod as my cd player is quieter, and i never use it except once in a blue moon. just check the EQ settings on the ipod before you do

Im doing the same thing, same amp... just 2 hdc3 12's. thats only to set the gain part, what about the lpf, bass boost, subsonic, ??
