Namosh
For anyone who has flared their own PVC ports. I have a problem. When I get the flare to about 75% of where I want it, it starts to tear. I have tried 4 times with varying heat and pressure and every time it has torn. Any idea what I'm doing wrong??? shainemcconnell
more pressure less heat...thats all i can say and maybe the flair is too extreme. Namosh
I'm gonna get some more pipe tomorrow and keep experimenting. I had 75lbs of weight on it and still had to push it down to make it flare. I will try more weight. It is a four inch tube and I set the amount of the flare with a four inch disc. I thought that was the correct radius. This is how I formed the radius. Quote My Ram Quad Cab Blow-through

Nightshade
There is a dude on here name Machado something from Puerto Rico that makes flared ports. Find his flared port topic and hit him up with a pm or just ask the question there. dirtboi22
what makes the flare so much better than the regular straight pvc pipe?
Nightshade
what makes the flare so much better than the regular straight pvc pipe? They reduce turbulence and allow the airflow to exit the box in a much smoother transition. They are a db louder than a slot port in most cases.
