If you only run 1 sub, and they're recommeded for 4 cubed ported, then go for it. You just have to remember that a port takes up space and so does the sub.

so your saying 1 ported will be louder than 2 sealed? and also the 4 cubes i figured out for the 15s was a real quick sketchup and it was 4.38 before displacement and the re se's are .17 so i would have 4.04 after displacement sealed

I'd take 1 ported RE SX 15 over 2 sealed 15" RE SEs....regardless of cone area.

1 ported is the equivalent of 2 sealed (in a certain sense). In some cases (with a properly built enclosure and the right tuning) 1 ported is louder than 2 sealed.

That's hard to say. Depends on RMS power per sub, enclousure size, dimensions, etc.

he has 4 cubes to work with, so the 4 12s will have about 1 cube each in the sealed enclosure to be honest, i think the 4 12s will be louder then the 2 15s sealed.. But I also like having more then 2, even tho i only have 2
