Owners1 Posted September 11, 2009 Report Share Posted September 11, 2009 honestly, I think 1 D3100 with that alternator would be fine.. The D3100 is a huge battery. The way I see it, just hook up your DMM and see what kind of voltage your getting at full volume. If it's going below like 12.6, then maybe you should go with a bigger alt and/or second bat. My friend runs a 3000d with a stock alternator and a yellow top battery with minimal voltage loss. I'm not trying to break any records just to show one of our local shops that JL Audio is the gold standard when it comes to car audio.
