shooter69
the subs are a couple of pioneer shallow-mount 12's. anyone know the appropriate time to break in these subs? if no one knows, then i'll just tell him to keep it low for 5 days or so. thanks for the help. stevh0
i might not be 100 percent correct at this . but i broke in my DD running at 1/2 the gains i usually run them at and play loud for a couple of minutes and let it cool down . after about 2-3 days i turned it up and it got louder and louder have the gains set at something ridiculous safe , so either you or the owner cant over drive them and caus damage . have him come back in a week or so , and then take it from there

BigOso
Some people believe breaking in a type r improves the sq side of the woofer but I jus think thats psychosematic. "Breaking in" a subwoofer is not going to improve power handeling so why baby it right out of the box.
