do you all think if i ran 2 12" Type R's on a hifonics 1610d at 1ohm daily they would be fine? The r's are the dual 4 ohm voice coil...they have been on 600 watts rms total for the past 3 years and finally i decided i want to upgrade to be louder than the 139 i hit on the TL

you'll be fine, just use the common sense filter, if you're bangin them hard they may get smelly, and if youre playing some C&S shit you run the risk of bottoming out. either way back off.

They can get smelly if you are bangin them hard. Had 2 type r 12's in the ranger with a crunch 1500 watt amp and i could heat up the coils. Just get the right enclosure and you will be able to shake the car beside or in front of you.

I so cant wait to see how you rate whatever you put in there, my 4 are so underpowered right now its not even funny.....

800 watts each....dayum!!!

this isnt very believable...and i would NOT tell anyone to do this...

but my buddy ran a kicker 2500.1 on ONE 15 for a year with no problems...it was a competition setup, but still played music decent.

held up fine unless he really started rippin on it, then it got a little warm..lol

u will be fine with 600/sub

i likes me some audio stuff...

in the right enclosure, type Rs can take 1000 rms daily with no sweat. i had one in my car about a year ago on a jl 1000/1 for a while with no problems. i also had the same type r on a hifonics brutus 1200 watt for a while too with no problems either. very solid subs imo

well i will probably go with the hifonics 1210d..as much as i want to go with the 1610d but 1200 watts will be a little better on them in the long run.

I have a 3 cube box ported at 33hz...they got loud on 600 watts so they may be a little louder now with 1200...i will post videos when i get the amp here in the next couple of weeks.
