I just put in a Rocker Switch to control my Rear View camera, and its working without being grounded. Is that normal. It has 3 poles, 1 for power, 1 for load and 1 for ground. Have to power hooked directly to batt, and my reverse wire hooked up to the ground pole. Its worked when the reverse wire was hooked up to the load pole without any grounds.

I don't see how it can be working without it being grounded, doesn't really make sense. What is the reverse wire btw?? How u explained everything is confusing.

Also this is totally the wrong section for this ?

Yea sorry I just posted this up real quick without thinking. But I don't see how its working either. And the Reverse wire is a wire that comes from my HU that triggers my review cam to come one when it gets power through it.

Sounds like sense u have the reverse wire hooked up to the ground pole, then it might be grounding itself through the HUs ground. Only thing that i can think of right now.

is there a light in the switch? Usually you do not need both power and ground for a switch, just an input and output.

Could be this

Yes it has an LED the turns on, when switch is in "on" position.

You should really have the ground. I got crazy turn-off thump in a system once when I didn't ground an illuminated switch.
