MTX J30 Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 i pushed the subs in so they arent blown but when i play them they arent as loud as they were normally. i brought them to a competition today so i did play them louder than i have ever played them before but that was only in 30 second burts. the only setting i messed w. on the amp was the lpf. i tried to put it back where i originally had it but idk if i did it right. what could be wrong with my subs? Once or twice I have missed having a back seat / rear hatch, but all in all people love to see a walled vehcile. It just screams "i'm not fucking around with my setup, im loud"
Boon Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 They could be just a bit cooked. Making the impedance of the coils go up (or down ) 10.x volts fo' life!

Guest Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 if the subs are 4 ohm, they should be between 3.5 and 4.5 or so. 2 ohm, 1.5 and 3 generally. ...the others you get the point, should be relatively close to what it says on the sub/box.
