it has the same board as a power acoustik BAMF5500... and now you wont even see 3200 out of it.. youll probably see 2000w at 1ohm ...so its not a total piece of crap... the amps are just generously rated

Probably by clipping the bejeezus outta the amp.

Im really new to this stuff, but does that mean like trying to play frequencies the sub cant handle? ..Would the subsonic filter prevent that?

Basically the gain knob was turned up too high. When a sine wave (sound wave) went into the amp, it got overamplified beyond what the amp could produce and became a square wave which is very bad.

Too many projects, too little time...

Looks very similar on the outside.

But I there is more capacitors in the kole? I know the kole model made right after this is almost the same, except with 0 gauge.

Those amps are OK at best, will do alrite amounts of power but nowhere near rated... Oh yeah and it's not a good sign for a 3kw+ rated amp to have fusing usually reserved for amps w/ less than 1/2 that amount of power. But as long as u already have the amp might as well give it a shot.

I have the HCCAs that you're asking about and the amp u have will barely even get them going to well. They are quite inefficient subs and like 2k+ daily at least, I could throw 3kw or so daily without any issues if chose to.

alright. yea, I think i am going to keep the amp and see how it does. Ok so, to set the gain, using this chart so it does not send clipped signals (square wave) to the sub, which voltage would it be? rms power?

To really properly set gains you need an oscilloscope. If you don't have access to one I would say just set it by ear (turn it up slowly til you start to hear distortion than back it down some.) Trust me, when you have an overrated amp you don't want to use that chart. Tends to make the amp very not happy =/

Too many projects, too little time...
