Eric B
Alright I am running a Alpine CDA-9856 and its rated at 18wrms x 4 at 4ohm and running Rockford Fosgate Power 2-ways, then I was bored in my room one day and saw my Punch 6x9" in my room sitting there and the coils were scratched so I took them to Best Buy last night and returned them and got a $157 gift card so today I bought a pair of Rockford Punch P163C and plan to build a box to put on the rear deck to put my 6x9" and 6" in to. And right now I dont have enough money to run a amp to them so I was wondering if I could hook up the 6x9"s to one rear channel and the 6"s to the other rear channel on the deck, and there all 4ohm so what would be better to run them at 2ohm or 8ohm per channel, I'm thinkin to run at 8ohm to be safe...but I wanted all your opinions thanks Quote 2007 Chevy HHR LT UNDER CONSTRUCTION 1st Place Loud N Low 2010 MWSPL Finals 3rd Place Xtreme 3 2010 MWSPL Finals
Guest MegaloManiac
u can only run them at 4ohms (since they are SVC i believe). unless u plan on listening to them in mono.

I planned on wiring the 6x9"s in series to one of the rear channels and the 6"s in series to the other rear channel since theres only 2 rear channels, would this work? dleccord
most of the decks are rated at 4ohm. i wouldn't run anything lower. Quote refs: chode69, superduper
ChevyBoy
i would just hook up the 6x9s for now and call it a day until you can afford an amp.

Eric B
yea, but I think running at 8ohm would work fine, it wouldnt put as much watts out as 4 ohm, idk im gunna try wiring to 8 and see what she does Quote 2007 Chevy HHR LT UNDER CONSTRUCTION 1st Place Loud N Low 2010 MWSPL Finals 3rd Place Xtreme 3 2010 MWSPL Finals
