HHR Ed Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 Bass boost can add clipping. You should put your gain around half way, maybe 3/4s. And bass boost down. Your lights may always dim depending on your electrical system. It isnt hurting it, just a bit annoying. LPF at 10 o'clock is good but try turning your SSF all the way down, unless you hear your subs bottom out or distort alot. enemyofsilence Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 it may not be as loud as it was before because your amp was prob set wrong (too high). it may seem "not as loud", but you settings are right and your equip will last longer. its better for your equip to last for years on the right settings than your equip clipping, burning, shorting, etc. on the wrong settings... Austin175 Posted October 8, 2009 Author Report Posted October 8, 2009 (edited) well the way we had them b4 it wasnt clipping t all but then i re wired them to how there supposed to be for a 1 ohm load an now if i set my gains a lil to high i get clipping an yes i love these an i told john i take care of them so i would rather have them last way longer so maybe ill give it some time an they will get louder over time Edited October 8, 2009 by Austin175 Quote kia spectra 4 door HU-a kenwood kdc-692x optima red top under the hood ( kinetik battery or powermaster in the back ) Iraggi 260amp H/O alternator 1 set of knu kandy 1/0 guage wiring kit ( 2 more sets coming ) front speakers - back speakers - 2 12" lv 4's with lvl 5 softparts ( going to be 4 in near future) Sundown 3500d( going to be 2 sometime ) i have boughten from - Bass14(smd), ddbump(caraudioclassifieds)
