Damn Steve I know I've read bits and pieces of this log many times over the years, I finally got around to reading it from beginning to end. As I mentioned via email the GF has a 99 Civic, so I'm passively picking your brain by reading this thread! I currently have some barebones Pioneer 6.5" coaxials mounted in the doors (stock locations) powered by a RF 800a4 (front channels only). I did see how you ran the speaker wires into the doors. I cheated and ran them to the stock speaker wires behind the dash Also I want to do what you did with the front door speakers. I really do not imagine glassing the whole door, but the cardboard trick is MONEY!!!

anyway, its ok to cheat and use the stock wires, its the easiest way to do it. Especially if your running some basic coax mids/highs..

oh and no prob i hope to get back on it and get it closer to being done this summer. If not, oh well, my 13 yr old son is havin a blast playin wih it and its already all but his.....so whatever i dont finish, im sure as he gets older, HE will.......which is fine by me.

Im glad the car was recovered but man i know it still hurts to know those little punks got it in the first place.
