I got a few G31 Optimas i might swoop up on soon though. I have alot of work to do on the box itself anyway. meade916
More progress today, had some 22ga Sheet Metal bent up out in the shop (at my work) so i could 45 my all corners.. These are glued on with gorrilla glue and screwed tight about every 4". After that i blasted expanding foam behind them. VERY rigid. I will probably toss some resin in the box tomorrow to smooth it out a little more and then the face goes on and the rest of the braces go in..... meade916
before i added the 45 to the top i had to add another layer of wood to even it out (due to the 2" wood battons on the side) All i had was scraps left so i had to chop it together...at least my cuts were straight (mostly) I think the top of the box is nice and thick now....So now the entire box is mostly 1 5/8" thick and the roof is 3". After bracing tomorrow this thing is gonna be very solid. 1 Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! meade916
Ok while i was waiting for the expanding foam to dry i went ahead and did what i really didnt want to do but it was time to face the facts. The old box is NO more and that was space i really needed for some equipment..... Now the airtank is out of the trunk and up against the back of the wall. I now have an entire trunk with a glassed in wheel well to work with!! Time to go battery hunting now and i think ill scrap my old plans and put the amps in the trunk as well. (eventually) Goodbye old port, it was nice knowing you and thank you for all the good times! ^^^look at all the room i have to work with now! Thats the 2/0 that was previously ran under the car and is just long enough to reach my battery rack/trey however i do it!
