trying to do hairtricks.....

Recommended Posts

and tune low

my car only does it <30 hz.

or u can do it in true SMD fashion and get an obscene amount of power and some woofers that will handle it and just trick at any freq. in my case 4500wattsrms+3x18"subs+a shitton less car airspace than a hoe=still hard to do hairtricks

monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now)

i found that a good low tuning helped me get one, I got one with a single audiopulse axis 15 on a saz 3000. got an even better one when i went up to 2 axis on the same amp, they were both done at 20 hz too.

I think its more about the woofer and box than the watts

I'm almost there with 900 watts rms and 2 12" woofers

You need alot more power than that to do a hairtrick.

While it looks pretty good what you are doing, its not enough force to levitate the tissue or make hair fly. Especially if the window was all the way down.

This is what a piece of copy paper does on my HHR with 4) 12s ans 10,000w. This is what enough force to do hairtricks looks like on paper.

Not bad, I am not knockiin what you do, It looks like it would move hair, but 900w is definitely not enough.

lots of cone, and efficient woofers with that little power then? i mean, what constitutes a lot of cone for a tahoe? i am currently running 4 t1 15's on 2 rf 1500bd's; and while its loud...it's no where close to a descent hairtrick.

3 or 5 18's

i mean even 2 18's is alot, but i've done 2 18's in a hoe or two with the kind of power you're going to have, and while it was loud and such, and did a hairtrick, it wasnt like youtube worthy brag about it hartricks. more of a "damnit you messed my hair up" kinda hairtrick

and for godsakes do it right. i've seen people cram 8-15's into a suburban behind the middle row and not be able to break 145 cuz its just done so damn wrong

where are you getting 3 from? or 5? thats an odd ohm load and not getting the potential power outta the subs....wouldn't 4 make more sense??????

and the type of hairtrick ur speaking of, that's what i'm avoiding.....when i say hairtrick, i want a HAIRTRICK. lol.
