pthrift Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 first i guess i should start with the background info. i've got a 2002 tahoe, and already have a triple alternator bracket from dc power....running 2 220a alts and a stocker.....also have 2 batcap 4000's.... ordering 2 rockford 2500's tomorrow...(have 2 1500's now, and its just not enough)..... i wanna do hairtricks. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/hairtrick.gif just that simple, lol. but i'm lost as to what to do for subs.... willing to give up every bit of space below window in tahoe behind 2nd seat....no wall if possible..... so what do i do? 8x12"s? 4x15's? 100x5.25's (lol like the caddy build i saw somewhere on here) and what brand? my local car audio shop is pushing hard for 4 rf t2 15's...but idk....have enough experience to build whatever kind of box necessary, but my goal is "meade level" hairtricks..... so do i have enough power to do it, and if i do, which subs? thanks in advance. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/hairtrick.gif Clicky for build log.... 2002 Tahoe DC Power Inc 3 alt bracket with 2x230a. alts 1 stock Eclipse CD5030 2 JL HD 600/4 4 Rockford Fosgate 2500bdcp's 4 DC Audio 18" XL's 4 Pr MB Quart Premium Components 200FT Stinger HPM 1/0 Rockford 360.2 No where near enough sound deadening

Noobtastic14 Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 Your in a good section. For good air movement i would suggest lots of very efficient woofers rather than two stiff ones. you have a rated 5k on tap so 4, thousand watt drivers with some overhead would be my choice, as much box and port as you can manage. -Drew I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. Djmixmasterkid Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 I think its more about the woofer and box than the watts I'm almost there with 900 watts rms and 2 12" woofers I know if I ever find out you were messing with my 17yr old daughter, i'm diggin' off in that ass and then your next post will be asking for tips on how to remove my size 12 shoes from your ass. thehoe92 Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 I think its more about the woofer and box than the watts I'm almost there with 900 watts rms and 2 12" woofers lots of people can blow around napkins and papers... hairtricks are a little bit harder to do than thatlots and lots of cone area with efficient woofers so it will move more air. Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple
