Cozmoo
Hey, I'm new to Car Audio and my friend hooked me up with a 12 inch Pioneer that has a max of 800 watts and I have a 340 duel amp that is bridged. I have been bumping fine for about 2 and a half weeks and all of the sudden whenever my sub hits, my amp goes into protect and I thought it was the ground so I re-grounded it into a very secure spot and it is still doing it. I thought it was my amp but I hooked up a 10in sub to it and everything works great. When I push my sub in with my fingers I hear a scratching noise when it pops out, if that means anything. Did I blow my sub? I can't figure out what is wrong, and I miss the pound of the 12 it made in my cavalier

Cozmoo
How in the world did I blow my sub if my amp isn't even close to reaching max watts? And what was strange was, was I was listening to a song and it was working great and it ended, restarted the song and then it never worked since. lol And I forgot to mention that the sub works as long as the volume is under like 15. Any higher and it doesn't work. Guess I have to buy a new 12.. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should get? I already have the box from the sub I have now, so I just need the woofer. sadface!
