Slinky
id say if your resonant freq is 32, tune it to 32. otherwise, do swappable ports and see what works best. BigOso
The only way he res freq is 32 is if he has a wall in there. That I will gaurantee. stevh0
i also say , swap the ports! its easier then ripping the box apart all the time all though i build my boxes so that i can easily lengthen and shorten/widen the ports if i wanna
stevh0
but remember , mostly in a sedan the trunk does get walled off

shooter69
not meaning to thread jack, but... what's the resonant freq of a ford taurus, sedan? Quote (1)Fi BTL 15 (1)AQ 2200d 4.33 Cubes~33hz Big Three done XS 1200 in the back
Derrick824
Resonant frequencies vary from vehicle to vehicle depending on your system and vehicle modifications. The only way to know your car's frequency is to test it on a TermLab. For example, I remember Meade saying his Tahoe's frequency is 37hz however my Yukon's (same body style as his Tahoe) is 45hz. Also when I changed my setup to four 12s w/ subs up & ports back it changed to 40hz. I recommend finding someone at a local car show/spl comp w/ a TL and ask if they can help. BigOso
I had my civic trunk walled off from the cabin and my res freq was 45-49 htz it peaked where I wanted it to the numbrs were the same. I have 2 layers of damp pro on every nook and cranny of that car so that dropped my freq 2-3htz.
