mtxcivic07
I have an MTX 7801 amp that i had to send back to them to get repaired. my problem was after about every 20 mins or so of playing it would overheat and the thermal light would come on. I have a Kinetik hc800 wired in parallel with a regular acid battery under the hood. stock 135 amp alternator. 3 JL w3v3-4 subs wired at 1.33 ohms. what could be causing the overheating?? 18's in a wall to come....Its not all about the posts....check the member #... mtxcivic07
hell no im not playing it with those caps missing. I got it repaired and was working fine. Amp just overheats way too often. It has a constant 12.5-14.4 voltage going to it. It might be the ohm load thing, but it should be wired to 1.33 ohms b/c that is what (3) single 4-ohm voice coil subs wired in parallel gives you. 18's in a wall to come....Its not all about the posts....check the member #... BTW... the subs are wired with 10 gauge speaker wire... All of the subs have their own + and - wire coming through the back of the box and all are wired directly to the amp's + and - 18's in a wall to come....Its not all about the posts....check the member #...
