sundownz Posted October 28, 2009 Author Report Posted October 28, 2009 So far in my testing... I've gotten 149.0 dB from my pair of SA-8s @ 53 Hz in my Jeep. New box layout that I've never tested before... sub forward / port back Quote - Jacob Fuller - Owner, Sundown Audio - Sundown Audio on FACEBOOK - Please DO NOT PM ME -- use my email address -- [email protected]

Hotdog Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 Why do you rate it so low? Obviously it handles a lot lot more..... hell if it will take that much power you put on it free air, it should handle way more then 400rms. sundownz Posted October 29, 2009 Author Report Posted October 29, 2009 Setup is pretty simple -- here are a few still pictures : The platform for the box consists of some random wood scraps... I didn't want the subs firing into the amp rack / amps so I raised it up a bit to about 0.75" under the window line. Could probably gain a few tenths taking the wires out of my port... but I haven't gotten to the optimizing phase yet. We just built the box today and dropped it in!
