So i have started saving for a new setup for my truck. Im thinking a good goal is about 5k.

I want the following.

-4 Audioque HDC3 10's

-Maybe a couple of the Audioque component sets.

-2 Audioque 3500d's

-2 Audioque 90.4's

-2 DC 260amp alts

-5 D3100 batteries

-1 multi use crossover (probably the 3sixty)

- +all of the wires, fuses, and such

Do you guys think 5k will cover this setup with me doing all the labor and build by myself?

I did the math and it seems to come close just wanted some input from you guys.

BTW this will be going into a Mazda B3000 ext cab.

i think i just gave myself a concussion i facepalmed so hard.

and for the 1's that dont like me.....

well, Im still here fuckers. Cant get rid of me that easy.

im taking out my passenger seat, battery is disconnected, going to unwire and take out the three amps, take out the 70+ lb box, then the platform so i can crimp 1 wire.

Almost as bad as those fegs that put those horns in their grills and roll down the street distorting the block....

Oh definitely, I would just like to have the power to push them to their limits if i wanted to but the gains would be set to prob 2800 using the DMM chart

Well with 2 3500's you'll be giving them about 1750 each which is pretty good, even for daily bumping (As long as it's clean power - so you need your voltage up to par, etc.).

HDC3's are underrated. They can easily take more than 1000 Watts RMS.

EDIT: If you have the budget I say go for the 2 3500's. If not then 2 2200's.

a 3500d seems like a little too much for a pair of hcd3's. they can take over rated but that might almost be pushing it imo. i'd keep the gains down some ifits your daily setup

na they can take it... dont get the aluminum coils unless u got a good 2000rms tho

Please don't comment on subs real world power handling capabilities if u don't know them and are just going by the ratings on the website.

To the OP -

That is a very nice setup you have listed but I can almost guarantee you that it will go over $5k, so I'd plan on it doing so. You also forgot to factor in the cost of building materials for the enclosure(wood, screws/nails, glue, sealant, resin, etc). Also the HDC3s will be completely fine with around 1700w per woofer daily, even though after box rise they'll be seeing less than that. Have you ever built a setup like this nature before or is this a first for you??

4 HDC310s, 2 3500Ds, 2 4X90s, 2 AQG6.5s = $2,750 shipped, I was bored so i added it up for ya.

2 260a alts(idk pricing for DC, this is approx.) = $700-900 shipped

5 XS 3100s(approx pricing) = $1500-1800 shipped

Crossover, wiring, wiring accessories(approx.) = $400-700 shipped

Box building materials = $100-200

Etc = $50-100

Total = $5500 - $6450... This isn't an exact number, but just thought I'd give u a very rough estimate.

I think that is a nice setup that you have planned there, but there are much better comps out there then the AQ ones that are priced too high for something not too special. There are many other brand comp sets you could get for cheaper that would be better for you. Look into CDT. Also I agree that you might not want to go with the 3500's. What about running 4 of the 1200's each at 1 ohm so you get right around 1200 or so rms to each sub? It's an idea and will require a bit more wire and stuff so it may not be practical.
