TWO WORDS ROB

GRAPE BOMBS!

FTL! HAHAHAHAH "no dude I follow your lead" hahaha

Half inch steeeeeeel???? nah i prefer to keep the wagon under the weight limit for most bridges I cross! :)

Man you should have seen the look on the toll guys face when he saw the weight of Steves Van crossing the bridge to SVR one year, it was priceless!

I have this weird feeling that SBN and grape bombs are gonna be connected here soon!

Yeah weight is a problem. Gravity can be a biotch sometimes.

Still though awesome build as always!

I have some speakers.

I have some amps.

All Sundown!

Any questions?

Yeah two 15's is gonna be tough, 18's would be dam near impossible in this thing! When the time comes i'll design something and see what i can come up with, but thats a ways away. But I'm not gonna jack your thread so I'll keep this on topic. And maybe i missed it but how much power are you planning on pushing? Thought i saw 10k but i could be mistaken with something else..

The power plan is to slowly keep adding it and see how everything handles it. The woofers handled 6K without breaking a sweat so the next move right now is two 4500s around the same ohm load (so figure around the region of a true 12K) I will eventually end up with 4 3500s providing things go well.

I can't even imagine the potential this thing has. Can't wait to see way more power and a tuned front chamber. Should be the most ridiculous daily driver ever! The numbers are already sick!

I appreciate it

I have not got the chance to check the second lower octave peak in the car yet but it sounds like it is between 25-28hz!

My slowed version of I Cook plays around 25hz and it is like a tornado in the car :) I played around with shrinking the port (not on the meter or anything) and it really seemed like the score fell off a good amount. The design being so narrow seems to really be liking the giant port so far.

Lookin' good bro, where'd you get those tang bands?

Thanks

parts express has a sale on them right now for 15 each on a buyout sale

peerless 6.5" mids for 10 dollars each! I am thinking of an interesting highs project involving a LARGE quantity of them....need to save money for SBN but still might pull it off :) I believe if I heard correctly Frankie Rio is building an expedition with 176 highs!?! Tell me how he will pull that one off without it looking ultra tacky

Speakers mounted on body panels.....ROFL

speakers on body panels?? seriously???

I'm interested to see what your highs project is going to be. we all know you can kill the lows with every car you build but to see some highs that keep up with those lows will be very interesting

I was just joking around because once you shrink the vehicle with the build there is really only so many locations to put speakers. 176 highs should be something impressive to see on anything... as for the wagon...it will depend on how I can fit the amps, two are really huge.

have u used tang bands b4 mike?

thats what im choosing for muh ride, a pillars will have 3 3x5s and than 2 or 3 pairs of 6.5 & 4" mids :)

Nice!

I have built some bookshelf speakers and messed with them in a few cars....For the money the peerless and selenium speakers are also excellent choices....how cool would it be to have some kind of sponsorship with partsexpress :).....I would go broke!
