Well, the bumber isn't going to be completely fixed for awhile.

Even if you do it yourself it's still going to take awhile to get it and then the installation will be difficult.

It will NOT be done by Thanksgiving, have fun building in the snow.

the parts i need take 2-5 days shipping (including saturday) the warehouse is in Muncie, IN so it should take 3 days, i looked up the installation and looked at my car to find all the clipping/screwing points and i can do it with a screwdriver and a plier, thats how easy it is, all it is is clips, screws, and painting= a few hours

Getting ready for a lot of updates tmm. So I made this.

The old board was warped as shit from former water logging.

So it went from this 1/8" MDO I believe

To this 1/2" Plywood..........Hopefully this fits well in the car still. It may need a roundover on the sides, but well here ya go.

Now were gonna glue the carpet on and hopefully all goes well. :D

what a long ass day! Crump will post progress pics up, but i had trouble yanking the stock harness from the stock radio, so with force, i broke (kinda cracked) the white piece that holds the clipped black piece that goes in. The previous owner of my car literally messed with it a lot cuz he unclipped it so much (taking stock out, putting double din h/u in, taking it out, putting stock one in before he sold it to me) so thats why it was impossible to take out...im taking it to our local audio shop to see if they can fix the stock harness, let alone take it out from the stock radio. If they do that, wiring, 100% of matting, and head unit should be completed by tomorrow night!! I am crossing my fingers that the cracked stock harness is fixable cuz i was :censored:

Just cuz I was bored I made a video. :P

It doesnt seem like it in the vid that theres much differece. But there is, its awsome.......................

type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>">

The total deadening is

1 layer in wheel well

2 layers on the floor

5 on the indside of the rear fendor

totaling about 35 square feet, and we still have a lot to go, and I have about 15 sq feet of the damplifier pro and he may buy that off me. So this is the most time ive spent deadening and its fuckin killing me. :D , but itll be worth it in the end.

Mas Updates tmm, yezzzir

on top of the freakin harness being a bitch, the previous owner striped the shit out of screws from the brackets that hold the stock radio/climate crontol, so i had to make my own screw desing in the screw to get that out, i thought that was gonna be the worse, but all came out in like a hour, so imma head to the hardware store to pick up some new ones, but important part is fixing that harness

Hahahahaha, mine looked exactly the same !!! 3/4 Birch now, I can stand on it!! I like how you cut a handle in it though, I may have to do that to make it easier to lift up. Looking good, keep up the good work!!

Edit: Hey, if you can't get the harness fixed, just cut it out, I have a wiring diagram somewhere, if you need it I can find it when I get back from Vacation on Sunday night.

excellent news, i took my car to the trustworthy car shop here to see if they would take this harness out, but they had a sign on their door saying they were closed all this weekend thru next weekend for thanksgiving. So i was like "NOOOO", so i took it to another shop (with a kinda bad reputation, but the owner knows me pretty well) and one of his new workers got it out in 5 seconds. I feel wayyyyyy better cuz i thought i had broken it, all there is was a crack, so it still clips on. Tonight, I should get the head unit in, voltmeter, and bass knob. Crump and I will finish matting, Crump will finish BIG 3, soltering and wire running. I asked that same shop to drill a hole thru firewall, and they told me it was not necessary, so they showed me a way to do it without drilling, hopefully it works, so I cannot guarantee power wire running being done tonight, but we will see! :)
