sean 371
so im running 2 batteries . one front and one at the rear . would it be "choking" the system having it on the rear battery? how about if i put it between the batteries ie on the so called current line? It doesn't matter where the batteries are in the circuit. They do their job no matter what. meade916
I'd say no. Batteries can produce their own power AND collect that which is being put into it instead of just collect power from the alt or battery up front to store. The rate for a total discharge or even gradual is much slower on a battery like a small kinetik because it can make it's own current while being charged so it can keep up with current draw MUCH more efficiently. Even the HC600 from kinetik is equivalent to over 100 1farad caps. i have to come back here and basicly say sorry.....i forgot about the chemicals being the reason a battery makes power but i wasnt really looking at it in that way. I was looking at it from the standpoint of if the battery is dead, its dead.....its not going to charge itself back up, it needs an alternator to do that (or battery charger). Thats what i meant so in a way were both right but i wanted to point that out. All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! Chris
Half & half agreed! It really can go kind of either way I suppose. It's just that car batteries are different in a lot of ways. They won't make much of their own power but can sure store a hell of a lot. Just like you said, it ain't gonna charge itself! 4 15" FI Q D2's in 12 cubes tuned to 32hz 1- T1000.1bd's 3 Maxx 29 deep cycles 4 runs of 1/0 gauge -Big 3 -Trunk sealed off from the cabin Custom 15.8 dual-volt switching MLA module All in a CAR. Dale
Kinetik. What about BATCAPS. Do you also recommend those? How do they compare to Kinetiks?
