Is it bose??

wired out of phase?????????????

I don't think so, but I'll check with him on monday for sure. If so, am I screwed?

what kinda box and what was the final ohm load?

Sealed. Final ohm load is 4ohm bridged to the amp. The guy said he had it wired up the EXACT same in his old car, but it rattled the shit outta his ride.

It sounds to me like one of the subs are out of phase and therefore cancellation issues are being introduced. Double check the wiring on them subs Bro.

Bump. Any other opinions on this? I'm puzzled for real, & don't have any idea what the problem could be.

sounds like there outta phase man...switch the wires on one sub see what happens

i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

Oh, well I finally finished the install about 4days ago, & I must say, It was confusing as hell to do. He ended up getting an older sony aftermarket HU & we ran the rcas, but it was doing the same crap. So I printed out a manual for his HU off of crutchfield archives since we had no clue what buttons to push to activate he sub output. Finally found it & flipped the crossover switch on his amp to full-pass & then she was hittin!

This was probably the most confusing install I've done, it took 4 trips for us to get it! I still told him that in time he should probably upgrade to around a 1200rms amp & new box, but yeah, we got it figured out
