00_XJ
I want to shave the emblems off of my Ranger but I don't have a welding machine. I know you can't just slap bondo over the little holes underneath the emblems and call it a day, so are there any other options that can be used? I would try a rivet gun and grind the rest off, then glaze over it with some finishing putty,.. BassBoy69
or just get a screw force it in the hole a little, grind it down and glaze over it. Marlo Stanfield
^^^^ What he said.... Depends on exactly how big the holes are, you'll have a few different options. mbdblue
just get a shop to weld it for you real qiuck. throw them a tip, and it shouldnt be a problem..the whole process would most likely not even take 5 min. I wouldnt go with anything else, especially if this is your bass vehicle (prone to vibration) Quote AA-Atomic-Clif Designs-DC-Diamond-Digital Designs-Directed-Eclipse-Fi-Hertz-Hifonics-Kenwood-Memphis-Phoenix Gold-Pioneer-PPI-PSi-Stinger-Sundown-TC Sounds-Viper-Zapco
98crewcab
for small holes, you can jb weld a penny (or cut out pieces of steel...) to the back side. scuff the hell out of it first. but once cured, you can smooth out the outside with a little filler, prime and paint. have done it for years, works great. The holes are pretty small, I think the biggest size hole is about the circumference of a pencil... I was actually gonna ask if I could just use sheet metal and jb weld. Glad to hear that it works. I'm gonna try this out on my tailgate and if it holds up I'll do the rest. If not I'll just drop it off at a shop.
