So last night I built my box for my 15" BL that im getting this summer unless plans change, and one of my friends sold my paintball hopper and nitrogen tank and got $110 outta the deal, after I completed my box I put my 12" type-r in there(the box is 4cu. ft. @30Hz) I knew it was too big for a 12, but I said what the hell, Ill try it out. Well it was alright but you could tell that box was way too big, so I was messing around on the net at school today and saw the old Punch Stage 2 15" for $90 on crutchfield and said what the hell Ill get it, I mean my amp puts out 300wrms(yea i know i was choking my type-r, but it was loud for being underpowered) and the P2 needs 250wrms so I figured for $90 what the hell it should be louder than my type-r, I knew i should have saved up for a new amp but I couldnt pass this up. It should be here later this week, ill post pics up...

Question # 1: How thick is the Plexi you used?

Question # 2: Is that Birch you used?

Question # 3: Does your box have a bottom to it? It looks like the trunk carpet....

1. it was the thickest they had at lowes, idk at the top of my head, but i need to put a brace down the middle of it though because it flex

2. Yes it is Birch

3. Yes it has a bottom thats just the spray paint color, it has texture to it...

is it me or does that box look a little small for a 15in bl? and those ports dont look long enough but im just pulling shit out of my ass here so i dunno

4 cu ft is perfect. And those ports don't have a whole lotta port area, so they can be pretty short.

A couple links to some box builds:

Tahoe Box 1, Tahoe Box 2, Nissan Titan, VW GTI,

Mini-Bump, Hummer H2, Ford F-150

My own car builds (current setup --- under construction):

Overall Thread, Kickpods, Dash, Back Doors

Subwoofer Wall
