EDIT: wow sorry i was looking at that completely backwards. it probably is too high but i have no way of tuning correctly...i dont have an o-scope and dont kno how to use a multi meter to do it but my real question is, why did it JUST start doing it after ive had for like 2-3 months?? I'm pretty sure that the 'arrow' the actual knob forms points to where its set. If so it would be at 3/4 right now. Either that or your bass boost is all the way up which could also be an issue. white4d96 Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 for tuning with a DMM I use this link http://web.archive.org/web/20080104010047/...rum/setgain.asp you just insert the rated RMS power of your amp and the ohm load at the amp and it tells you how many AC volts you should see. hook up your probes to the speaker outputs without a sub on them, set volume (i usually tune at the highest level that I use on the HU, but some people say 3/4 volume) and play a 50-60Hz tone. Adjust the gain until you get the voltage prescribed. As for why it's just now happening, I have no clue. Quote Too many projects, too little time...
