Does the fuse blow instantly? I never did like the AGU fuses, I use ANL and Maxi. What amp(s) are you using? EVAlonSo
Also watch for voltage drops. volts x amps = watts. the lower you volts drop the more amps you will pull. First post. EVAlonSo
I think hes talking about the barrel fuses Quote MECP MASTER CEA208509 Proud employee of Alarms, ETC in lakeland, FL ASE certified 2002 Tacoma: 4 RF P3 15s @ 28hz 2 RF T1500-1bdcps 2 pair Kicker QS 4 Pair RF Power 6s 3 RF p400-4 1 RF p200-2 ALP CDA-9887
Benzino
its a d2400 directed amp.. it doesnt blow instantly when i turn it up loud it blows.. do they make alot bigger than the 80s? thanks
EVAlonSo
Yeah they make bigger ones, but i would switch to an ANL fuse. my shop switch from the barrel fuses to ANL fuses because customers weren't crimping down the sides of their distro block or fuse holder correctly. ANL eliminates user error. if i was you i would pick up a 100 amp fuse, and if you blow that one i would start looking for a new/better battery. also on a side note, what brand wire do you have? is it true 4 gauge? that would cause voltage drop also Edited November 18, 2009 by EVAlonSo Quote MECP MASTER CEA208509 Proud employee of Alarms, ETC in lakeland, FL ASE certified 2002 Tacoma: 4 RF P3 15s @ 28hz 2 RF T1500-1bdcps 2 pair Kicker QS 4 Pair RF Power 6s 3 RF p400-4 1 RF p200-2 ALP CDA-9887
silversound
I do not think they make AGU fuses larger then 80 amp. Get you something like this http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=FH-20 Quote Lunar Amplifiers: L1500's x 8, L2125, L100X2, L55x2, L40x2 (2) Digital Designs 9518G x 2 DDA-W 6.5 components DDCX 4 x 4 DDCX 5x7 x 4 Iraggi Amputator
Boon
Of course it's gonna blow fuses... what ohm load do you have it wired to? At 2 ohms it probably pulls close to 100A, at 1 ohm maybe 150A. Quote 10.x volts fo' life!
MXmike800
your pulling way to much current for the fuse figure out what rating fuse you need and put the correct one in there.
