I wanted to keep the seat in and still have the option for people to sit back there so I designed the box the way i did, 2012 silverado ext cab ltz 24" kmc rims AudioQue 2200 Pioneer AppRadio Alpine mrx f35 4 channel Bose mids and highs Iraggi Alt + stock alt in a DC power dual alternator kit Yellowtop+stock under hood 0 gauge Knu wire Big 3 4 gauge stinger (4 chan wiring) 3 DC 10'' LVL3 with LVL4 parts
Jared420 Posted November 20, 2009 Author Report Posted November 20, 2009 these pics were before the subs were put in obviously as you can see, Ill get a couple more today of the subs and by the end of the weekend Ill post a few vids up, I dont know how well the camera will show it but my roof flexes crazy the sideview mirrors and I finally got some good wiper flex. with the 12s if you looked REAL close the wipers kinda shook a little bit but now certain songs make the ends bounce a little bit its easy to see in person. I know its not the ideal shape for airflow and everything but I did what I had to do to gain as much airspace as I could without making a fiberglass box which is beyond my talent and without giving up my whole backseat for passenger space. I can still seat 2 people in the back which is what I wanted. (not the most comfortable seating in the back now but it works). Me and a friend worked on the box together. His dad owns a his own carpentry business and they have a barn with a complete woodworking setup in it. Thats where we were in those pics, hence the wood and tools everywhere. Its a nice little setup they got. My friends getting real good at the whole carpentry thing so he was a huge help (especially with the freecuts with the skillsaw and cutting the holes for the subs with the jigsaw) he just has a steadier hand than I do I guess.
