It would cost anywhere from $500-1000 to ship a vehicle on an auto carrier... Realistically you will be spending well in excess of $10,000-15,000 on this entire setup, which I still don't think you realize yet. So to spend $500-1000 to get an install done correctly the first time then it shouldn't even be a question to shell out that dough.

A shop that I fully endorse and have done many HUGE builds similar to this and is a lot closer than Ray's shop is - Custom Edge Audio in Clearwater, FL.

Well taken, but to let out a little secret I receive about 2 $4,800-5,200 checks a year from school for grants and things, so I am not balling, but I do have money to play with. I also work, and live in college apts. where i don't pay that much a month. So money isn't the biggest thing, it is still big though, lol. I wouldn't mind paying that much for an install but I for some reason thought for a shop to do a build like this I would be spending well over $3000 just for the shop to do the build. Did I overestimate? I seem to do that a lot, but it has never failed me.

For an install like you're interested in getting done I'd say that $3000 more than likely would be on the pretty low side. You're saying that you have money to play with but truthfully when all is said and done you will be looking at around the $20,000 range or possibly more. Then as anyone knows who has owned a high powered/large cone area setup, things are ALWAYS bound to happen. Then even if everything is in full working order, parts WILL break on your vehicle at a pretty alarming rate.

You say that you're living in college apartments - Are u really gonna leave a $20,000+ system in the parking lot of a college area?? Unless I had 2 armed guards around it 24hrs a day, then there is no way in hell I'd even think of doing that.

Ask to see pics of walls they've built. Maybe even see if they can arrange for a customer to drop by so you can check out the build. If you're looking at spending $5K+ on install (which is what it will cost you!!!) then none of this should be a problem.

This was the big reason why I suggest Custom Edge Audio to the OP as a shop choice... If u hit up there website you can see that they've done G-Monk's Van(24 15s) and Lil John's van(18 15s) among many other wall builds. The two mentioned have done bassrace runs above 157+ and if both of them would have gotten each one fully dialed in, then there isn't a doubt in my mind they both could have seen 160+.
