  1. 1. Should I run 6 18's or 8 18's in the Suburban? Why?

have em use old parts? build a older model with brand new parts? how do you recone a lvl 4xl into a 5? same shit just use new parts

Shut your face. you know nothing. That makes no god damn sense...pay 250 for a sub and pay another chuck of money to switch out the motor.

It wouldve been cheaper to just buy a triple stack old model to begin with.

How the hell do you make a new model into a triple stack? Id like to know that.

Dude have you ever ordered from or called Fi Car Audio? They can recone it back to the triple stacked version. Trust me I actually have spoke to scott. But this is getting off topic if you really want to know something PM me, because you are stirring up trouble.

Ive ordered more subs from fi than subs youve ever owned. Ive personally talked with nick. It wouldve been cheaper to buy a basket, and have them put the '06 parts on it.

i would run 6 18s in a clam shell.

i'd do the same. why not be different and do 6 18's with a couple of aq 3500s. you'll need a little bit less battery and alternator power by doing so which will save you some $

ask yourself if you really have the money to venture down the 8 18s route. its going to cost some serious change to have a system that big, with everything done properly

good luck regardless of what you choose.

But I didn't who in the hell cares. It is my money I will do what I want with it. You keep telling me what to do with my money. I am a grown man. If i decided to trade someone my newer BTL for their triple stacked BTL it would be no problem. So chill out. You are claiming to have bought over 12 subs from fi, but you don't know that simple answer of how to make a newer BTL into an older one. People would jump to it if I did that trade.

Huh? Totally different specs...

When I had my ranger I mixed the 06 l5 model, with the 08 l5 model, and they worked perfectly fine together. Pretty sure they had different specs too

That is cool, but when you hear the creator of a product say one thing and a customer and fan say "THAT WONT WORK" it is like Who the F are you? No offense. In your effort to give advice you come off like you know it all and are missing facts and information. I am open to opinions, but this is a poll please lets keep it that way guys. Have fun.

Dam 67% said go with 8 18" subs but now I am thinking about 6 18's because that has not been done as far as I know and I want to leave room in the suburban for more creations. I guess I will see when I get to that point. Money is a BIG thing to consider, but I plan on taking my time to plot out what is going in and what is going out. Another thing to consider is INCOME TAX. hell yeah. But seriously I am taking this very seriously, and I know that this will be a bish to pull together, but I am going to knock it out. Hell if I do decide to go through with 8 18" btl's I know they can fit comfortably if Meade got them to fit in the caddy. That took a hell of a lot of skills. But for the record I am keeping in mind what my budget is, so I appreciate all the advice, but it is under control.
