2 x Kicker L5 12" 2006 model - 2400 rms

Recommended Posts

it looks like it knocks but did you build your box?and is that 2400 rms max or rms?and whats your box tuned to?

That's why they don't deliver.

Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait.

You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start :D

I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.

I agree, I beleive the kicker L5 only does 600rms I believe. Dont EVER go by 'watts max', 'max output', or what ever other sale schemes they use today. Your looking at about 1200 rms two L5s can produce together

Thanks guys !

My english isn't so good but I'll try to explain. If you have any doubt about what I'm saying ask me please.

12" L5's can handle 600 of continuous power (rms) and 1200 watts "peak power" each one.

And my amplifier is rated 3000 RMS @ 2 ohms 12.6v / 2400 RMS @ 4 ohms 12.6v. The woofers are DVC 4 ohms.

The box is tunned @ 40hz and I made by myself. In my old car I was using a 5.5cu.ft box tunned at 38hz and a RF 1100a2. It wasn't so loud as now but I got a deeper bass with that box.

Well thats why you need to build a new box tuned lower to get tehm low notes. but if you got both woofers wired up d4 then that would create a 1 ohm load so im guessing those subs are seeing more then taht 3000 rms you just gotta be careful with teh gains.

That's why they don't deliver.
