I am afraid I do not know what the legal driving age is in America). If your system sounds good to you, fantastic. That's the aim of the game. My only suggestion is not to mix driver size and enclosure type. Two different drivers (and two identical drivers in different loadings) reproducing the same frequency range can lead to destructive interferance and phase correlation issues. It may be beneficial to use all avaliable room for a larger enclosure for one type of driver. Then again, if you are happy with what you are running, then keep slogging that buddy. You get on here posting pics asking how everyone likes your system...we point out a few flaws/things that could be done different and you get all defensive. There is a TON you dont know. Trust me. Know how to build a 4th order, 6th? or maybe a tline? Doubt it. Factor in impedence rise? You havent even skimmed the surface yet. Know how to build a sub from scratch? No. You will learn more than you can imagine on here. The 10/12 setup...you cross em over or anything or are you just running them off the same amp. skittlesRgood Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 so how do you have this amp wired? is each sub on its own channel at 4ohms so they are all getting 50w each? or do you have all 4 wired to the sub channel so they are getting 37.5w each? it looks like you put terminals on the power and ground and bolted them to the top of the amp's terminals. they are supposed to go in the hole and clamp down from a set screw. if the power wire touches the case of the amp that could be big trouble. with the wire bolted to the top like that it seems dangerously close to shorting out.
