kirill007
Like I said, I had a brand new lvl4xl in my possession (I just reconed it) and there's absolutely, positively no way it would take 4kw free-air...period. Maybe you are doing something significantly different from me? Would be pretty crazy to see any sub take 4kw free-air and not even break a sweat (or any parts, haha). Dude, i said it was probably more then 4000W RMS, because stestom amps put out a whole lot of power, so it's just sick that the sub can handle the amp. So the 4000W number is probably wrong, it's probably more. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
windowtinter
you have to think of rise since he was wired at 2ohm free air rise is alot (correct me if im wrong) so lets say the amp is seeing 10ohm with a 5x rise which wouldnt be out of line i dont think, that amp should do somewhere around 2k maybe more maybe less but every bit of 1000w that tommy says his wouldnt take cleanly and in that vid looked like it handled it just fine and no former breaks either? so as of yet you hasvent broke anything so far all is well now get to testing i know its cold up there so warm up the garage and do something for christ sake
kirill007
Why would you have rise? it's not in an enclosure, the bigger the enclosure is the less rise you get. And since it's free air, their is no enclosure so their isn't a lot of rise. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for. oldschool
There is always rise when the sub moves but your right there is less that way TEAM GROUNDPOUNDERS INC. 156.5 OUT THE TRUNK OF A 95 CADDY W/1 SUB & 2AMPs score done on a termlab mic in the kick on the dash sealed was
